I would have to highly suggest real. There's nothing like coming home after a long days work and smelling the house of fresh pine. Just brings out the Christmas Spirit! Just make sure that it is watered daily to prevent the tree from drying out and being a hazard. If you really want to get into the spirit, go to one the tree farms where you can cut down your own Christmas tree. Always a nice family event. Its always better than pulling your Christmas tree from a box every year.

Fake as it saves the real trees for other uses. It's a shame to cut down a tree that has been growing for years to only use for a few weeks. Although as a child, I do have memories of going out into the hills to find a real tree. Then I would sneeze my head off from allergies. Children with asthma, etc, can't have real trees. It really makes them have a flare up.

Fake Christmas

I was raised with real but their are some positives about fake. We have had fakes for the last 8 years, our fake is pre-lit so we connect the sections and Voila !!!! it's ready to go. The ease of set up is one of the pluses and you're not destroying a piece of nature but you're probably putting a tree farmer out of a job Most people I know still go with real.

Getting a real tree down in FL can be an expensive propostion sometimes. However, the image of the fake tree my mother's friend used to have in her living room (all white with red tinsel cris-crossed over the entire tree, to match her red and white color scheme) will always make me swear off fake trees!

Well there are benifits and bummers to both. Real Christmas trees smell really good and look natural. But the pine needles get everywhere and it dries out, causing a major fire hazard. But fake Christmas trees dont dry out and can't cause fire hazard, but they look a little unnatural and they don't smell good. But they still don't make messes! So there are benifits to both! But I get fake. My brother is alergic to the smell and the fire hazard is a little risky. Hope this helps!

Although real trees have their advantages the picking out, the scent, among other things artificial tree manufacturers now have scent in their trees plus the wonderful selling point of no mess. This is fine if you have your own house however in some cases tenants are not allowed to have trees do fire hazards

Real. It's makes the house smell nice and for some reason just seems to make you feel happy. I've had a fake tree, and they don't make me feel happy or smell nice.
