I came up to you on the streets while you're walking and said
"HI (your display name here)"?

if I were on the street and I came up to me and said hi I'd yell "STALKER!"

I would first stare at you in a weird face expression and say "uh.. hi?..." and walk away
oh and ill be looking back every 5 seconds, just in case...

it happens a lot to people who never change their display name and have a large base of friends

i would be a little shocked maybe even disturbed. i would ask right away how do you know who i am. the n i would say hey elizabeth long time no see.
