two weeks in time would be really good ,but two months is too long, they could have ordered a new engine and had it installed in less than two weeks, the mileage on the car may indicate they drove it to break the engine in,that's normal for that too happen, the time though is way too long,if they charged you for rebuilding it then you have a right to good re-built engine,if they installed a re-built or a used one in it, and you told them it was ok to do this ,then you may still have the right to have it all re-done,really you need to talk to a lawyer if they wont co-operate with you,the more time goes by,the weaker your case will get, good luck on it.

Get your facts together and then sue them in court?

I rebuilt my car's engine alone, in a week, thats with complications. With limited skills of right is tighten and left is loose.

I'm sorry but, get your car back, and find a better shop or have someone you know personally do it.

Shops aren't there for service, cars are money, and money drives the shop, not the cars.

well i go to school at UTI in chicago and i hav only been ther since august and in my third week of school i can fully disassemble and rebuild a engine in a few hours a week at the most if parts need to be machined or ordered. the mechanics you have are morons. sew the **** out of them get a good lawyer mechanics by law are liable for everything that happens to the car why its in ther hands.

Don't know about your state laws, but in Michigan if they won't do anything about it, you can complain to the state and they will do something about it. The secratary of state might be able to tell you more.
