I have 2002 trailblazer.
For the past year sporadically my car would die out when i would be at a stop, but would restart, no problem.
Recently it has been much more frequent, Not daily but when it does happen it is several times in that day. Now even when i put on the heat or radio it will die, but starts right back up.

Check the battery cables, and the condition and tightness of the terminals. Make sure both the engine and chassis are grounded. I had a car where the chassis ground went bad (corroded out of existence). The starter worked fine because the ground cable went right to the block, but the ignition control module (or something ignition related) grounded to the body. Because more or less the entire driveline is mounted on rubber (to dampen vibration), you can't get much contact for the ground from the block to the chassis. I guess enough juice got through for low draw things like the starter relay or ignition, but whenever I'd turn on a high draw accessory (heater, headlights, horn, etc.) the engine would quit because it "took" that limited ground connection away from the ignition. Mine was an older car, so I just ran a heavy cable from the ground on the battery to a bolt on the shock tower and everything was fine after that.

You problem could be a few other things (damned computerized cars nowadays!), but it's worth a check. The fact that it worsened after you replaced the battery makes me suspect that something was disturbed when you did that.

good luck.
