Yes and no.

Yes:
It is worth it because of the DECENT processor, the RAM is well enough, hard drive; good, it's mostly something good for business and regular use like internet and whatsoever. It has a fingerprint scanner, so that's good too. Better protection.

No:
Since you didn't state the ACTUAL use for the laptop, it depends on what you would need. You may be able to find a better laptop for a better price at somewhere like Newegg.com or Best Buy. They might come with better processing speeds, cheaper, but that may be the only thing upgraded. If you are using this for anything like gaming, I would suggest a no, although you may be able to run Runescape at high levels, ha ha!

Overall:
I would recommend this for anything from browsing the net, a storage for videos and pictures from a camera, e-mail, and business. Not recommended for gaming. Just don't cut off the piece of your finger with the print, don't want to lose security, ha ha. But overall, it is worth the price.

I had one, it was better than most PC laptops, of course my Macbook Pro is 10x the laptop, but it cost 3x the price also.

It seems like more of a "professional" / non "Personal" computer... all the GIANT corporations use them, they don't seem to have great speakers, and typical things that most people like AT HOME. They have everything, but they don't seem to TRY making it interesting / fun at all, it's all business.

It's like the epitome of "I'm a PC / I'm a Mac"... Lenovo is a "PC" all the way.

i would say no. even best buy or circuit city would have better deals than this. it's a good laptop overall, but the slow 1.5 ghz processor ruins everything for you. you will be able to run one application very well, but more than one and your processor will not be able to handle it. if you can find one for the same price or cheaper with a better processor, forget this one and go with the new one.

stick with xp though, this one has xp on it so you are set to go, do not pay more for vista cuz vista is slow and will slow your computer down if you don't pay over 2000 for it. vista also has bugs and is not stable.

At $849 after the $50 rebate, that's a good deal.

I'm almost thinking of buying one, now that I see that ad.

Considering that price for a laptop is very cheap, I would say so. You will usually find decent laptops for no less than $1,000, but if you're looking for something that is just functional, I would think of it as a good price.

No way! $899, which means, with taxes, fees & whatever else they decide to tack on it's > $1000. And It's running on XP...

I paid about $450 for my Vista machine in july and I love it♥

By the way...Mail-In rebates suck :(.
