My kid is interested in learning about cars. Engines, transmisions ect., how they work, how they were developed over the years.

Anyone out there know of a web site that shows such material?

I appreciate all serious replies.

There are many sites from:
www.autozone.com
www.wilkepedia.com
www.howstuffworks.com
and many more. The best thing to do is search on Yahoo or some other search engine for whatever your kid is looking for. You can also by models of working "toy motors" that he can put together & see how they work at most hobby stores & all.

try streetfire.net... there you can watch videos on anything you search... you can read adds about engines and watch videos on how engines are built and how they work. And if you get lucky you might find a video or 100 on how every part of a car works.
