I am pet-sitting and one of the animals is a lizard. Well the lizard is laying on the ground of his cage like yesterday only he is in a different spot, though is eyes are closed and red, is there something wrong or is this somewhat normal.
I'm scared :/

If a lizard is not scared, not hungry, not thirsty, and the right temperature, it doesn't have much reason to move.
If you are following the owner's directions, you should be fine. If feeding day comes and it won't eat, you might think about being concerned, but even then, it's probably okay. Can't you contact the owner if you have questions?

well why don't you just pick him up or is he gross and scary. I'm not sure. We had lizards all over the place when I lived down south and sometimes they were just sleeping and when you poked them they would run away.

He's probably sunbathing and the light might have sunburned the eyelids and its painful for him to open them.
