How are catholics stereotypes. I myself and a catholic and I am nothing like the other in my church. Churches all talk about subjects that happen around that church community because the things that are talked about in my hometown in NC are different then what are talked about in my wifes home town of NE. It all just depends on the atmosphere in which the church is set and the priest.

They probably haven't learned much in church services and haven't read their Bibles.

People can be Any Denomination , but it doesn't mean they are true Christians/ or Catholics.

If this isn't the type of friends you want, it's better to find those with like values as you expect. Good friends with good morals will mean a lot.

hun u will find that just because people say they are something does not mean they truly believe it. If yu are unconfortable around them then find new friends that respect you and your wishes. I do not have a religion but i do believe in god i just have my own opinions. my point is dog fighting is wrong, well alot of things are wrong and as a young lady u know right from wrong so do what u feel in your heart is right.

I don't understand your 'dog' reference, or stereotypes.
It seems to me that you are the one generalizing.
The church is very large, many are Catholic in name only.
By that I mean, they were baptized but not catechized.

dont talk about religion with your friends, just concentrate on you helping them out and forget the religion part, anyway religion screws people's brains out, so dont judge according to someone's religion, believe whatever you want to believe, whether who God is or who God should be for you but never ever ruin friendship for the sake of religion and comparison, be open minded about this.

Where are you in life? Most of us, of any stripes of faith or no faith, are "lost in life" until we hit our 30's or so.

That's the tragedy of life - it's half over before you understand what to do with it.

It's not the religion, it's your friends. Pray for them.
