I need a little prodding.

It's tough especially with two little one's it seems that there's always some type of mess ! I send my boys downstairs to play and I go from room to room cleaning.. However, I do have a daily "system" that works for me...
In the morning when I get up I turn down the bed to air it out.. I gather up the laundry and while I'm in the bathroom I wipe down all the surfaces with an antibacterial wipes.. Counters,sinks and toilet... I gather up the towels/ rugs (once a week). I also vacuum/mop the floor one a week...
I take the laundry downstairs and sort it... If I have a big enough load I'll start some wash...While that is going, I make my way into the kitchen make breakfast for the kids and unload/load dishwasher and wipe down all the surfaces with antibacterial wipes.. While they are eating I'll dust/vacuum the livingroom/dining room. Let them out clean up the high chairs and switch the laundry around.... Bring up whatever laundry to fold/put away...
My children in the evening know before bedtime that it's time to pick up toys.. They are 1 yr. and 3 yrs... I also work evenings so my husband makes sure the house looks nice when I get home around midnight..
I have a 3 bdrm ranch/ w basement family room.... about 1,700 sq. feet... It takes me about 2-3 hours to throughly clean my house... Just try and keep up with it on a daily basis...

I don't need motivation to clean my home. I take a lot of pride in keeping a neat & clean home & always have. I keep my home picked up on a daily basis, especially at bedtime. Doing that helps make the weekly cleaning a lot easier.

By having company over. I wouldn't want them to come into a mess. It gets me moving fast every time!
