There are products made for deaf and hard-of-hearing parents that are baby monitors with vibration or flashing lights that go off when the baby cries. I am deaf, although only 17 and of course not yet a parent, but I know many deaf parents who use products like these and they work very well. I use a vibrating alarm clock to wake up, and my brother (he's hearing) is a really heavy sleeper, and the vibrating alarm clock is the only thing that wakes him up!
Here's a website: http://www.harriscomm.com/catalog/default.php?cPath=38_1140_44_1086
you can also look on google for more products.
This might not help for tomorrow morning, but if your hubby is a really heavy sleeper, this would be a good investment for next time you're in a situation like this. Plus, you won't always have to be the one to get out of bed!
Good luck.

What time are you leaving? Can't you just set an alarm clock to wake your husband up at whatever time the baby tends to wake up? By 3months, i would think he have a good idea of when the baby wakes up. Another option. Do you have a pack n play playpen? If so, set it up in the same room your husband is sleeping in and let the baby spend the night in it. There's no harm in that.
Side note, under no circumstances should you ever keep your baby in bed with you and your husband if he is that heavy of a sleeper. Baby's have been sufficating from heavy sleeping Dads and even by moms that are overly tired.

i wish i had an answer for you... my hubby is the same way. he could be sleeping in the crib with our son and he wouldn't wake up. i have to kick him with my cold feet a few times to get him to budge... and i guess that won't do you any good if you wanted to go shopping.
btw, like you, my hubby is a huge help whenever i need him and he is awake, but once he goes to sleep, he is like a bear in hibernation!

I have the same problem with my husband and our newborn is sleeping IN OUR ROOM! I found that if I had to be up early and didn't or couldn't take the baby with me I put her in a snugglie (an infant bed that has sides like a crib but goes in your bed) and then HE HEARS HER!!! Since she's right next to him in bed!

i'm sure he hears the baby and just dont want to get up. my hubby played that game. just leave him the baby and he will get up with him, its a natural instinct....wake ur hubby up when you leave and he'll be less likely to get back into a good sleep :) you deserve a day out!!

I agree with some of the other ladies - nudge him, and tell him, your turn ... parenting is a 2 person job, even at night :-)
