Though I like them both, M*A*S*H consistently had the most intellegent writers. They did a remarkable job of using humor as a coping mechanism, without ever losing sight of the nearly unbearable situation in which the characters were forced to function.

Both comedies are great but I've seen all the reruns of Cheers so many times, that right now Mash is appealing.

mash mad me sad after a while... I was expecting to get a chance to drink the MASH ... or at the very least be given a sample. But no.....just show after show .... I was always easier getting a drink at the place where everybody knows your name.
