In Indian marriage markets, I have seen bridegrooms available for sale. The price paid for them is called dowry which sadly has almost social sanction. Well educated and well placed grooms too are not ashamed of being sold like any pig.

Natural saliva. I bought half a kilo at the market last week and I have been quite disappointed with its performance.

I was in the Middle East. I won't say what holiday it was, but...there were skinned lambs hanging up in the open-air market. Blood was dripping down into the cobblestone street. Cats were lapping up the blood, while flies crawled around on the skinned heads hanging on hooks...all while people took them down & examined them for possible purchase.

Crunchy crab candy (dried crabs with multicolored sprinkles) in Chinatown. It was a really cool candy store, otherwise, but the crabs just threw me for a loop. But who knows...maybe they're delicious.
