East and west coast is where most of the suppliers are, or Georgia if you're looking for fake fur. You'll need a resellers license if you want to order large amounts. Most of the places don't want to deal with any orders smaller than $200 at a time.
If you're lucky there'll be a fabric outlet place in your state, those places move a lot of different types of fabrics at very low cost.
If you're in Illinois, there's a place on the north side in Chicago that's fantastic. -- http://www.voguefabricsstore.com/store/catalog/index.html

Typically you should be able to purchase them from any fabrics wholesaler if you have a business (tax ID number).
