I really do not think it matters until you are farther along. It is basically to help you and your baby get more oxygen when the uterus is pushing up against your lungs and all.

i'm a abdomen sleeper too. i'm 17 weeks and nevertheless doing it for lots of the night. The clinical expert mentioned it won't harm the infant because of the fact they are cushioned in there so nicely. you need to get a being pregnant pillow or a ordinary pillow and placed it between your legs, which will ward off you rolling over. If something it ought to harm your breasts extra while you're already feeling the discomfort and tenderness. the sole element that I even have heard approximately being undesirable on a similar time as drowsing is laying flat on your lower back because of the fact there is far less blood pass. Congrats on your being pregnant!

I think by second semester but you might as well start so you can get used to it. You can sleep on your right side as well, it's just not as good for the baby. Just stay off your back. This is hard as your mind will play tricks on you. The only time I ever wanted to sleep on my back was when I was pregnant and couldn't.

I couldnt sleep on my left side because I had a pinched nerve in my left leg and back, so it hurt really bad... so I had to sleep on my right side.. altho they say you shouldn't, both of my pregnancys everything went smoothly.....however, i think you have to start worrying about that in your 2nd trimester!
