They came here on illegal, criminal terms, should we just expect them to be good , tax paying, honest, Americans if we give them amnesty?
All we know of them is they broke the law on day one of entry.
Convince me differant.

Yes , I try to only buy American if possible. I also research lots of American and forign companies to see who they support.
I wont buy Hienz due to their yearly donations to Hammass or Labbats support of anti hunting legislation. ETC.

I do most of my business with American Farmers and support those that support them selves. Most are hard workers putting forth a harvest but, some live on the same corporate welfare Amtrak does. Oh, I don't buy fruit that can be grown here from other countries either.

Agreed. NY governor Eliot Spitzer was willing to give them IDs. His Idiotness obviously thought that since they had IDs illegal aliens would obviously register their videos AND buy car insurance.
He thought wrong and his stupid idea died a deserving death and HIS approval ratings are at an all-time low.
I believe our disgust with illegal immigrants and our pansie officials who sympathize with them are the bane of both DEMOCRATS and REPUBLICANS existence.

I don't think anyone's suggesting that. Its just that the people who favor amnesty based immigration reform are basically saying you know what we can't deport all these people its unrealistic so we just give them amnesty and do better guarding the borders in the future. Its a practicality thing really no one is saying they're good people or honest its just like they're saying what else can we do. I don't really think its the solution but I see where they're coming from.

Which Americans have never broken a law? I break the speed limit everyday, while passing highway patrol officers. If their families are starving, and they have the opportunity to feed them by coming to America illegally, then I admire them for their priorities. I'll admit that a lot of illegals do not have such noble goals, but I don't believe being here illegally automatically means you are a dishonest person. I do believe that the constant disrespect we show to the illegals only encourages them to return that disrespect and maybe cause them feel justified in flouting more of our laws.

I had a neighbor from Sweden. After a long illness she was dying.
Her mom tried to get a tourist visa to come and be with her daughter and was turned down. She tried everything. Finally she flew to Vancouver and drove into America illegally.
I never once suspected her of any honesty issues.
I know 2 other Scandinavian people that were denied entrance to America.

Depends on why you think most illegal immigrants come here. I think they come for a better life and to take care of their families. Following my line of thought leads me to this analogy......If my child was sick and I had no money, would I steal her medicine? Yes.
Would this make me dishonest in every way, in every part of my life? No.

Are you honest?
President Reagon said at the Berlin Wall, "Mr Gorbachev, tear down this wall."
Slave-made goods in South America are allowed to cross the US borders and the rhetoric is "Free Trade."
Are you patriotic enough to buy only made in the USA products?
Do you have enough family values to support family businesses and farms?
