Good. How much of the law do you know? Lawyers constantly keep up with the ever changing law to represent you - whether you are good or bad - because that is what the Supreme Court has decided is our constitutional right. We need them to help us understand what our rights are if we are a victim or a suspect.
Yes, some lawyers are slimy, but so are some doctors, bakers, accountants, bankers, people.

I work for a law firm. There are 5 attorneys in the office. One is great, one is snooty, one is down to earth, one is professional, and the other is new... so, I'm not sure.

They are just people. Just because a person is a lawyer doesn't mean they fit into one category.

Mostly bad. Because of them, health care costs more than it should, you can't do a lot of fun things and you can't file even the simplest legal document (such as a no-fault divorce) without paying them a few hundred bucks for a one page document.

Believe it or not some do get into it to help others but most are lying criminal scumbags { kind of like politicians wait they are lawyers aren't they ? }
