Should teenage girls or boys for that matter be spanked? The parent of the opposite sex might be aroused and then it is sexual abuse. Or even if it is the same sex parent it could still lead to arousal.

Nothing strange, I have had the pleasure of knowing several female partners who have enjoyed a spank from time to time. From a male point of view it does take some understanding as hitting a female is totally unacceptable but there is a mile wide and very distinct line between abusive beating and a light spanking. Provided you like it and your partner doen't object go for it. Check out he number of ladies above who have declared a liking for it, they can't all be wrong can they? Do you miss the beatings?OF COURSE NOT!!! this is a different and distinct thing, stop worrying about it and enjoy your new found happiness.

I am so sick of hearing how spanking is sexual abuse. Spanking can be sexual abuse is some very rare cases, but normally, a spankign is given for a good reason. Almost all parents get no pleasure from spanking children, even from spanking teenagers.

Let me guess. You don't believe in spanking, yet your kids run all over you, yet you won't do anything to get them under control.
Some teens need their hind ends beat a time or two, as a last resort, and no, it's NOT sexual. Perhaps you'd like to think of it as sexual, because maybe you have some underlying issues about you yourself wanting to spank one?
As an add on...that's interesting, being you are the only one that's even thought of spanking a teen as sexual abuse. So I guess you believe spanking a 5 yr old is sexual abuse as well...Sounds like maybe you do have too much free time, like the first poster stated.

If a parent is sexually aroused by spanking their child then that child has far worse problems than being spanked!
My belief, if they know they will get spanked for breaking certain rules and the punishment fits the crime, I see no problem with it. A spanking would never lead any NORMAL person to sexual arousal!

I had to spank my oldest son twice when he was young. He is now 17 and he is well behaved, and well mannered. He even told his brother about the spankings, and he straightened up immediately. They are both honor student, active in sports, and we are complimented daily on how good they are. I am proud of them and know that the spankings went a long way to improve them.
The reasons my son got spanked, were because he punched his mother, and he got angry and tried to drown his brother. I think both were good reasons to take that approach versus talking.

Child development is the practice of child-rearing; not an abuse. Psychologists, police, firefighters, and school counselors--can help--and are standing-by if you were [hit]. Fathers have been known to engage in many choices; many professionals too, many. Why have the courage to speak to a professional (something like that)?

the key phrase is "might be aroused" and yes, if they are, it would be abuse.
But if the parent isnt a perv "aroused" by spanking their kid, and the teenage sh!t deserves it, then I say go for it.
