As anyone who understands the Gaelic language knows, it should be pronounced like "Keltics" as opposed to "Seltics". I'm not hating on the team, nor does it bother me in the slightest -- I'm just curious, and honestly I'd be a tad surprised if anyone really knew.

i think it's because when the word 'celtic' came from ireland, we changed it because it did not fit our rules that any 'c' followed by an 'e' is pronounced as an 's'

yeah Ive always heard about the Celts in my English Literature class. I've thought that that is where Celtics comes from. And i have made that question to myself before too. Good question. I guess Celtics sounds more modern.

I'm pretty sure it's just the English language. That's what all my English teachers in the past have told me. You know us Americans, we gotta change everything to our liking :)
