For me it is Greeley Estates. They weren't full of themselves and they loved hanging out with their fans.

Most band members that I've met were extremely nice and seemed to enjoy talking with their fans. Members from Snake River Conspiracy and Taproot were probably the nicest people I met.
Tobey from SRC was extremely sweet. She saw that I had a camera with me so she said "Lets take a picture!" and gave me a huge hug for the camera. Then she goes "Oh, I'm sorry.. I'm just hanging all over you!"... haha. I still have that picture somewhere....
Taproot members were just walking down the street near the venue so a few fans approached them and they hung out and talked for a long time... very friendly guys. The singer in Disturbed is the only person I met that was rude.

The first one that came to my mind was Todd Rundgren. I got backstage at one of the first Utopia concerts and presented him with a scroll of calligraphy that I had done for him. He asked if I could meet up with the band after the show so he could thank me in kind. We all talked shop over drinks for the remainder of the night. What an immense talent and great individual.

I honestly believe it's where and how you meet. Some great music people have been in the zone for their appearance and seem aloof, but after the show, just amazingly good folks. Others that I can recall: Alice Cooper; some of the founding members of Journey; Jimi Hendrix (very brief, but memorable); Edgar Winter; Joe Walsh; and Geddy Lee.

Got to hang out with Iron Maiden in 82 on the Number of the Beast tour in Indiana. We were playing frisbee by the buses and Bruce Dickinson, Steve Harris and Dave Murray came out and tossed some disk. Great guys.

Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters and Joey Ramone- Ramones

Dave Grohl is the coolest, nicest musician i ever met . Joey Ramone was also very nice and down to earth. I met both in San Francisco. Joey in 1988 when they did a show in Berkeley and the Foo Fighters when they played the Cow Palace a few years back.

Foo Fighters, eh? They're pretty good...... My favroite band is the Stripes, but I've not met them. Although from all I hear Jack White is a really nice guy. He is beautiful, and has a voice of an angel. He seems incedibly level headed in interviews.

Neil Young in the 70's. We were hanging around after his concert and he came back out on stage to talk and smoke some herb with us. Most everyone had left except for about 20 people.
How cool is that!

Bryce Avary (The rocket summer) I haven't met him yet but I know a lot of people that have and he is really appreciative of his fans. He actually tries to remember their names and stuff. But I am happy because I will get to meet him in the spring.
