Bad. He disobeyed the Supreme Court and force the Trail of Tears against the Indians. He may have thought, but never said, "When the Supreme Court gets an army, then they can tell me what to do." The fact is that his refusing to follow the Supreme Court weakened our freedoms.

Andrew Jackson is a controversial figure in American presidential history. It's hard to say that I completely abhor him because he was the first and only president to get rid of the national debt which is a really tough thing to do. The reason I despise him is because he was the one that passed the Indian Removal Act. When he passed the act, he was betraying the Indians, the Cherokee tribe, when they had previously aided him and without their aid he wouldn't have been able to win as many battles as he did. Another reason I hate him is because though he called himself 'the man of the people' he really wasn't. He didn't practice what he thought he believed in. He was a hypocrite because he owned a plantation that was worked on by slaves. HIS slaves. I have to say that I think he was a horrible president! You can't trust a man who is a hypocrite and has no morals on the treatment of humankind.
