I actually have pictures of Monteverde from my trip there last March when it was quite dry (especially by Monteverde standards).

Always prepare for wet weather when you're in Costa Rica, but also keep in mind that March is in the middle of the dry season, so it may be dry. Even so, the area will be beautiful. Have fun!

We were on the coast n.w. of there in mid March to early April last year and yes that is the dry season. We had avg temps around 93* at the coast and upper 70's in the rainforest's. Wore shorts and tanks but brought pullovers just in case. While in the Monteverde area watch for Pisote's {look like a raccoon with a long straight tale that points up} they love sugar cookies and are very photogenic. Beggars really! If you have any questions that I can help you with just e-mail me.

Well, it will still be the dry season, so it should be as good a time as any to go there. It being cloud forest, it might rain occasionally anyway, but it shouldn't be a problem.
