it's plugged in, connected to the USB port, has paper & a brand new thing of ink, but it has an orange "!" lit up, but i dont know what's wrong with it. it's an hp psc 1310 series, if that's any help. it says it's online and functioning too. help?

You may need to download the drivers from hp's web site.

When you put the ink cartridge in, did you remove the sticky tape seal? If so try unplugging it and plug it back in. The "!" is the sign of either what I said or you need to re-install the driver. Maybe some part of the setup was missed.

Look at your owners manual. It should tell you what problems are connected to the orange "!" If the fixes offered in the manual don't help, then I suggest throwing it out the window and going to find a new one at a good price tomorrow.

okay, here's what you do.

first check what the lcd display says.

press enter, if it says so. if not, well, just press it unless it tells you to do something and try again.

if you have a wireless server, unplug the usb cord from the, ha idk the name of this, but the box that recieves the signals from the computer and leave it out for like thirty seconds, then plug back and try again.

shut down the printer thru the power button and restart
