Sen. Biden is incredibly intelligent and experienced on foreign policy and many other issues, so he could be a good choice for that reason, because Obama is considered much less experience, but on the other hand, he is also a loose cannon, and he could potentially say something during the campaign that could hurt the ticket.
Other things that could hurt him are that his state, Delaware, is a solid blue state, and the Democrats may favor someone from a big swing state or someone from a different region, Midwest, West, South, to pick up a few more electoral votes.
I'm a big fan of Joe Biden but I don't think it will happen. But if he was on a ticket I would vote for them.

In the unlikely event that Biden wins, adding Obama to the ticket would be a smart move. But it wouldn't make any sense the other way around. Biden has demonstrated that he has very little support. While he has a lot to offer as a vice president, he would do very little to improve Obama's chances in the general election.

Well, Chi Guy, You know I'm for Hillary- but I think Biden would make a great VP for either Obama or Hillary.
I don't think Biden can get the nomination but I think he'd rawk as VP or Secretary of State.

Usually the nominee will chose a popular democrat from a red state to help carry another state that might not go with a democrat otherwise. Somebody like Evan Bayh from Indiana.

It would be wise for any democrat to have Biden on their ticket. He's the only one out of the whole bunch that republicans have any respect for. The democrats would do better drawing the republican vote if Biden was the top name on the ticket because republicans won't vote for hilary or Obama.

Biden is not too inspiring and weak on abortion. Edwards might be a better choice,or Kucinich. Perhaps Richardson to appeal to Hispanic voters

Biden is great on paper... and good in front of the camera 99 PERCENT OF THE TIME...
but every now and then... he flubs... and when he flubs, he really flubs... like Howard Dean YEHAW flubs....
and I think many people are concerned about that...
I like Richardson or Edwards better... because the Dems don't need a "Potatoe" moment from a VP candidate...
