There won't be any possibility to produce DOG-CAT hybrids as they are genetically incompatible. The mere fact that it is almost impossible to have both mate naturally, even artificial breeding won't have positive result either. The domesticated cat and its closest wild ancestor both possess 38 chromosomes while domesticated dog has 78 chromosomes.

Another important factor that dogs and cats have different mating habits. Female cats are induced to ovulate by the male cat's BARBED penis, which scratches the female's vagina as he withdraws during copulation. Male dog supposedly have smooth penises that won't be able to cause a female cat to ovulate. So to say, there will be no egg to fertilize even when copulation takes place. Male cat and female dog? Hmmm.. Though the female dog is mentally and physically receptive to copulation during estrus, still it is difficult to give possibility of a female dog accepting male cat do the mating. In the rarest possibility of both mating, genetic differences still won't be able to produce an offspring even if copulation took place.

Well, just like in fictions and legendary stories, you can produce an image of your own of how the combined species will look like. There has been TV shows on that.

Anyway, there has been a controversial CAT BREEDS said to have puppy-like personality with the strength of a wild cat. Some have a bit of similarities of the looks of mixed cat and dog. The breed is called PUPPYKATS. Search for puppykats and you see different images.

They don't mix well, they're pretty solid, despite their liquid content. After remedying this issue, mixing a dog and a cat would probably yet a messy, sticky red goo. And a broken blender. Inadvisable.
