I usually start wrapping presents once I have the Christmas tree up. They look pretty under it and I don't have to keep hiding them from my husband. Our daughter is still small (not quite 3) so this will be my first year of not putting presents from Santa under the tree until after she goes to bed. I will probably wrap them as I buy them and put them in a closet in our basement. That way I'm not wrapping a bunch of presents at once.
I also like to open the boxes of toys up, undo as many of those annoying wires as possible and put in batteries before wrapping. Makes Christmas morning easier.

I wrap them as I buy the. That way it's not a last minute rush.I never put my children's presents under the tree till they were asleep on Christmas eve.
Wrap a few each day when they're in school and a few each evening. That way, you'll be finished before you know it and you won't be all stressed out by wrapping them all at once.Even if you're tired in the evening,it doesn't take long to wrap a couple at a time.

I usually wrap the gifts right when I buy them, so then you just slip it under the tree and go to bed, and you don't have to worry about the kids walking in on you on Christmas Eve while you're wrapping the gifts.

Just stick them in brown bags and tie them with some ribbon. Every year my MIL wastes time and money on wrapping paper and wrapping that just gets ripped off, ina bout 15 muntues' time and thrown in a plastic garbage bag (which was made with petroleum) bag for its eternal landfill residence. Yay. Our family is different. We had to open the paper at the tape so my mother could reuse it. When it got too worn and ripped, it got sent into the recycle center. We had real wrapping paper for Christmas. For our birthdays, we had Sunday comics, which we read before putting back int he box. Yes, I was raised well. At my baby shower in July, I had two piles of wrapping: One to keep, and one to recycle. Most of the tissue paper I used for packing. Actually, some of the wrapping was used for box fillers and padding. I kept the tissue for future moves. I wrapped around breakables like my plates to keep from news print from rubbing off. Then I would wrap the paper around them.
Anyway, I'm digressing. When I was a kid, I didn't care about the paper. However, cutting at the tape added to the suspense. (Oh, yeah, we also opened one gift at a time and took turns. So if I was opening a gift, my brother and sister weren't.)

I finished that a couple of days earlier. Wanted it done before Thanksgiving so I could cross that chore off of my list for the season. Muhahaha!!! I'm done!!!! Even the tree is up. I used to do it on Xmas eve but it was stressful waiting for them to go to sleep and then I would be up half of the night.

i so hate to wrap..and i wish that i would wrap them as soon as i buy them, but no....i wait until the last possible minute..then have a ton to do, but a glass of wine or three helps ease the pain..and because i wait, i always lose one..it has become a joke in our familiy, as to who will get a late one from me...
do it as soon as you buy them, a whole lot less stressful..
