anyone happen to be on tonite that knows about an old Century 80 gl wire welder?? The wire won't feed. The little motor turns on a bench test....but not while its installed on the welder.

it's either not getting power, or you may have it improperly grounded.

The motor is probably shot, they can function with no load, not moving wire, but have no power, I am quite sure of this.
If the motor is good it would work on or off the welder.

If the wire has a kink it could bind up. Pull out as much as the length of the hoze. Also check the tension of the drive wheels.
