Because either part of my family doesn't speak to me, or they live too far away. The rest of my family went to my uncles today but I have a kid with a cold at home and my uncle is taking Chemo right now. My husband works nights and didn't sleep at all yesterday and is making up for it right now. It's either watch cartoons with the kids which I've done enough of today or play with the dogs. Yahoo sounds better.

I am at work, I am one of the newer people so I do not have off Thanksgiving, Christmas eve, or News Years eve, it is a bit of a bummer, but my family is all out of state except for my husband, he is over our friend's house. They have a lot of family in the area so he is included with them.

My husband is a firefighter and had to work today. He works 24 hour shifts. So I took my son up to celebrate at the station and have some cheer. We ate, hung out, and came home. So I spent as much time with my family as I could.
