I will not go. It has been about 5 years since I did this madness. I witnessed a hell of a fist fight between two little ladies and that kind of broke me from the Black Friday thing. To me nothing material is that important...
Be careful out there dear!

NO! I think the public has been brainwashed into thinking that they HAVE to HAVE everything real cheap and real fast!
Don't get me wrong, I work in retail and this season is very important, but getting up a 2 am to buy a $29 dvd player is ridiculous!
Shopping for loved ones should not be stressful and make you broke. The holiday season is not about buying your way into the hearts of your loved ones, its about being together and sharing that love with laughter and good times.
Yes, its great to be able to show your love and appreciation with gifts, but it shouldn't be a chore or a challenge to find a bargain.
I guarantee you, that when you are on your deathbed, you will not be thinking about that $29 dvd player you got up at 2 am to buy.

Nope, I have to go to work. Plus, the crowds alone would put me in a fetal position for weeks. And I think a lot of times the great deals you think you're getting aren't that great. Or they're at the discount price until Christmas.
I don't know of any medication used to treat Black Friday-itus, but I do know, if you do go, bring a baseball bat. It's vicious out there.

I understand what you are talking about. I normally do not go to these day after events but since I am with my relatives who has 4 kids, they are used to getting up at ungodly hours to get a great deal. And since I wake up early naturally, I think I will join them. This time. There are some things that I would like to get.

Remember that marketing is all about great deals all the time.
I'm sleeping in. Can't be worried about all that.
And yes, there is a pill for this. It's Xanax. Valium or alprazolam works well too. If you need to see a doctor about this, I'm sure they can help you.

I won't, because I've got to work. But I may be brave and risk my life in Dick's Sporting Goods after work. I'd say shop online too...you might find good deals there. LOL, I don't think they make a pill for shopping addicts. But if they do, let me know, because I need one too!

No I won't. I really hate to shop, and I wrote the book!!
I don't go shopping until a
day or 2 before Christmas,
I find the best deals then.
God Bless You & Happy Shopping.

Heavens NO!! I'm not a fan of shopping in the first place, so getting out during the day of the shopping crazies really doesn't appeal to me.

No Way! When I was younger, it was fun. I just don't have the patience to fight the traffic and crowds:) Many stores are offering some of the special offers/sales on their websites, including free shipping. That's certainly more appealing to me!

YES!! It is a tradition with my mom and me!! i love it. it isn't really about all of the good deals, but about bonding with my mom. And i guess the pill you can take for this is the adrenaline rush that you will get pushing people out of the way for your sales!! Hope you do Black Friday shopping and have funn!!
