Yes, I think he is one of the greats. And to think he thought about retiring last year. I'm not a Green Bay fan, but I'm glad for him that he's having such a good season! I hope GB does well in the playoffs for his sake!

I can deny it, easily. A great quarterback makes the players around him better but Favre needs great players around him to succeed. He was the quarterback of a Green Bay team that won a Super Bowl but the team's success was predicated upon a strong defense, deep corps of receivers and solid running game. Favre's success that year was a result of his teammate's talent, just as it is this year--Minnesota is a mirror image of that 1996 Packer squad. Favre is a selfish, egotistical player who constantly puts himself ahead of what's best for the team and I will always remember him as the player who cost Green Bay a Super Bowl shot in '07 and the Jets a playoff spot in '08. He epitomizes all that is wrong with professional athletes today.
