These are the requirements for free and fair elections in the USA and the things all Americans should demand of our government right now.

1. Impeachment of Cheney and Bush -- and prosecution at the International Criminal Court for war crimes in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere (threatening war crimes in Iran and Syria is a crime)
2 A "truth and reconciliation" style investigation of 9/11 (similar to the commission that documented South Africa's crimes after apartheid), US foreign policies, and the plutocracy / kleptocracy that controls our country
3 Abolition of electronic ballot counting machines owned by Republicans -- the solution is paper ballots counted by hand
4 Media reform to break up giant propaganda monopolies that are the most important ways that election campaigns are tampered with

For future "selections," assuming that this ritual will be maintained to preserve the illusion of democracy, it is incumbent upon progressive Democrats, Greens, Republicans with consciences, and others to focus on the myriad ways that elections are not free and fair: electronic voting machines that are made by Republicans, the role of the secret government (CIA, etc) and other related issues in addition to campaign finance reform. Otherwise, the Presidential Elections will be farces, not worthy of being considered "democratic."

I do... Then again I'm a left wing nut job....

Never mind that in 2000 W got 91% of the votes in Dade county in FL... Which happens to have the highest gay population per capita in the country.

Never mind those 168,000 votes that were threw out in FL....

Never mind the the Supreme Court with 5 justices hand picked by GH Bush appointed GW Bush as president .

Never mind that Josh Bolten who was not even a resident in FL was calling and protesting in FL for the recount to end.

Never Mind Exit Polling showed Gore winning.

Or that in 2004 in Ohio one county had more votes for W then it had people in it.

Or that the justice system ordered half of the counties in Ohio to destroy the voting record.

Or that before an Ohio grand Jury a programmer from Diebold testified that a congress men from the " republican party" asked him to see if he could hack the system. When he said he could he asked to see the program so they could " fix" the program to make sure no one steals the election.

Never mind the exit Polling showed Kerry winning.

Should I even start on Prescott Bush and his coup attempt to over throw FDR and his war profitering and his connection to the Nazi....

I don't think the apple falls far from the family tree!!!

And for the soar loser comments and thumbs down I will get... Keep in mind when the tables are turned you are going to want what is fair and constitional.

Look at all the thumbs down I must be on to something!!! Cons hate the truth when it does not work out for them!

I have been voting a lot longer than most of the people on Y/A and I have known some of the people who were in charge of the ballots and then the voting machines in my county and state. I can tell you that the Republicans don't have the market cornered when it comes to rigging elections the Democrats are just as bad. I once asked a man who was bragging about how he had helped another person get elected if what he did was wrong and his answer was "Not if it gets a Democrat elected"

You have got to lay off the tofurkey and shrooms on this politically only a day off holiday cause calling it Thanksgiving insults the American Indians now. And I know no animal meat, but mixing tofuu with those little shroom caps is what is giving you all those delusional hallucinations. You have got to get back down to reality. First of all, even your buddy Slick Willie is smart enough to know that 9-11 was not perpetrated by George Bush and I guess you want to go back to the days of the Daley Democratic Cemetery machine on voting. Do you really think that Republicans stole the last 2 elections? Come on, the Dems and Reps are all skull and crossbones or one of those nutty undergound societies now anyway. They all know each other and have their own little quasi masionic society anyway. You need to catch up on "cookies" readings about the super group that really runs the world. The one that Rockerfeller and company runs! And lay off the Peyote!!!

I was just going over my schematic of the DIEBOLD voting machines when the "conservative conspiracy" hot line rang. Seems there is a breech in security and someone has figured out how we do it.Drat. How will we ever get this machine rigged before '08 election with all these interruptions.

Well gee Wally, on the one hand they say Mr. Bush is the dumbest guy around. So how does he keep out-smarting everyone from being impeached and being hanged as a war criminal, huh Wally ?

It's easy Beev, the folks that are so committed to those ideas are delusional demagogues that have no life and sadly, like the Scare-crow, no brain. Have pity on them Beev, these are retarded souls. Together with the "conservative conspiracy force" and Mr. Bush's superior intellect, we will save America from the evil perpetrators that wish us and all good and just Americans, harm.
Say amen, Beev.
Amen Beev.

Wow. You're very ignorant of what's going on in the world, and what warrants impeachment, and what constitutes war crimes, and how a Presidential election works. Good luck to you.

there's no reason to give the e-voting machines the benefit of the doubt - they aren't accountable.

The idea that the NWO won't use the same dubious means to install a Democrat lackey is not something anyone should assume either.

Although 2000 did seem a bit fishy, I don't know about the rest of them. The Dems have won, you know.
