WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU CHANGE YOUR NAME TO MADELINE????

You should probably wait until you switch schools or go to college or begin a new job. If you're not going to legally change your name to Madeline, there will be problems on future applications and you may appear suspicious going by a name so far off from your real name. To legally change your name, you need to prove that you are known as the name you'd like to change to. Otherwise criminals would do this all the time.

Lol thats gonna be really tuff for all your friends and teachers. It prolly wont work. They'll just end up messing up. And calling you Erika anyways.

I don't know why you would. I believe that you can legally change your name to anything you want, assuming you are an adult. I had a friend that changed her name and I never called her by the name she choose.
