Lay down with the lights out, the door closed, and the room quiet. Relax your breathing, and work on slowing it down. Concentrate on your heartbeat, and deliberately try to slow it down. Consciously relax all muscles, then one area at a time, tense and relax your muscles - first one foot, then the calf above it, then the thigh. Next, the same on the other leg. Then do the pelvis muscles, the abdominal muscles, then your chest. Work your way from one hand to the shoulder, then the other arm. Finally, your neck and facial muscles.
Finally, concentrate on the feeling that all tension and pain and energy is draining out of your body, from your head down to the neck, then one arm out through your fingers, then the other, and so on back down your body.
If that doesn't work, go get a shot of Niquil.
