I remember... I remember all too well as a matter of fact... Saddam was not only making WMDs but already had them, Saddam was in kahoots with Al Qaeda and Iraqi oil was going to pay for the invasion.... lies lies lies.
We should not trust anyone talking about a war in Iran.. not anyone. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

I can remember that most Americans ate up the blatant lies about WMD's feed to them by Collin Powell like Thanksgiving Gravy, whiteout the slightest critique.
I remember in Jan -Feb 2003 being branded non patriotic, even asking a simple question about Bush's, Powell's, Wolfowitze's, Cheney's urgency to attack a fully contained, harmless nation, when other rogue nations seemed much more troubling, like Pakistan, N.Korea, Philippines, Iran and the badly going Afghanistan war.
And I will see in my lifetime again the herd of idiots cheering another war monger to attack another nation for no good reason. It's sad, it's the US.

Saddam Hussein (RIP) was responsible for the 9/11 attacks, the war would be cheap, no more than 200 billion, and the Iraqi oil would finance the reconstruction of Iraq. And the thing in the vial Colin Powell brandished at the UN security council meeting was full of biological weapon made by Saddam Hussein. These are the biggies.

i remember every lie that was told do you want them listed? It was totally inexcusable to send Colin Powell n front of the world and spread their lies,he is a man who many of the world leaders have had a relationship with and trusted over the years, what Bush did to him is..bullshyt..they wont have him or a fearful American public this time, if we can get past the next regime change in America we wont go to war with Iran i dont care who the pres. is.The smart presidents always try diplomacy first, they try to get it done with out costing American lives, war has been a last resort for America,i think after this clown is gone it will return that.

We weren't lied to. You have to understand that when intelligence is collected on another country, it isn't always an exact science. A lot of times, intelligence analysts rely on "indicators". An indicator is not going to prove anything, it's just a clue. If you have several indicators that point towards Iraq having nuclear capability, does that mean they actually HAVE nuclear capability? No. But sometimes you have to go out on a limb and give your best guess. And unfortunately, they were wrong. Or wait, no, FORTUNATELY they were wrong, I should say in THAT CASE.
As for Iran, I don't think they are worth our time anyways. If it becomes necessary, it needs to stay an aerial war. I don't think we should worry about sending ground troops in for a regime change, just target any possible nuclear facilities in air raids and call it a day.

Leaving aside those citizens that are not a bit interested in these things, Democrats remember the lies to a significant degree and recognize they are being repeated. Republicans remember them as well and they hope that the lies will work again when they repeat them.

I remember the "lies" that liberals heard two years later. The phrase, "Intelligence indicates that..." is never a lie, unless you can prove that intelligence didn't indicate such. Neither is "I believe..." unless you can prove that the person saying it did not believe it.
And to answer the diplomacy issue, by my count we tried diplomacy for 13 years. It just didn't work with Saddam. All he had to do was let the weapons inspectors in to inspect, as per his ceasefire agreement. Actually, all he had to do was not invade Kuwait in the first place.

The GOP is feeding us a bunch of BS concerning Iran. For example:
'Foreign Fighters in Iraq Are Tied to Allies of U.S.
BAGHDAD — Saudi Arabia and Libya, both considered allies by the United States in its fight against terrorism, were the source of about 60 percent of the foreign fighters who came to Iraq in the past year to serve as suicide bombers or to facilitate other attacks, according to senior American military officials.' (New York Times-11/22/07)
From the same article:
'.....senior American military officials said they also believed that Saudi citizens provided the majority of financing for Al Qaeda in Mesopotamia.'
More:
'American officials have accused Iran, the largest Shiite nation in the Middle East, of sending powerful bombs to Iraq and of supporting and financing Shiite militias that attack American troops. They also contend that top Iranian leaders support efforts to arm Shiite fighters.
But whatever aid Iran provides to militias inside Iraq does not seem to extend to supplying actual combatants: Only 11 Iranians are in American detention, United States officials say.'

Seems to me all we ever heard was: 9/11; the WTC; terrorists; the WMD! ad nauseum; "they'll be over here (the US) in a minute"; "evil Muslims want to take over"; Saddam Hussein, and Osama bin Laden. Hmm- whatever happened to bin Laden, anyhow?

Not to mention still calling it a war on terror, now its a hostile takeover of people that had nothing to do w/ it. A lot of countries disagree w/ our lack of morals, work ethic, religion, but they dont come take us over and make us act like them. Money, Oil and power is all that's left to gain over there. Funny how they can tap a million people's emails but they couldnt find a 6'2" Arab on dialysis.
