Yes. But I would qualify that somewhat. I know many more people who spend their lives safeguarding the lives and freedoms of everyday citizens, such as cops and firemen. Our brothers, sisters, sons and daughters are serving in the military service and actively putting their lives on the line in combat. They deserve more of our respect. I have worked both intelligence and law enforcement and have seen people give their lives in the defense of others.

Valerie Plame and her husband both were participating in partisan politics playing the blame game, seeking to harm the very administration that they should have been serving. They should have been fired. I served under every President from Reagen down to now and do not play favorites. I have had distain for certain Presidents and still did my best to sustain the country by serving them faithfully. I do the job I'm supposed to do, I don't sabotage my supervisors, even when they might seem deserving. The Plames were employees of the Government and got paid for their service, it was what they took an oath to do. Shame on them for putting politics above ethics.

I think the CIA has done much more harm than good over the length of its existence, so no, I don't think its agents particularly deserve respect.

Yes she does. Although she gets nothing but disrespect from Bushies for making his administration look bad. My q's just sitting there--maybe you can answer it?
