I have a large following of buyers from an online auction site and i would like to start my own web site, can someone please tell me how. I don't think it will be a problem getting people to it because I already have a "mailing" list of enough buyers, but where and how do i make a web site, I am 56 and I have no clue ? thanks

there are free 'shopping basket' scripts out there:
http://www.zencart.com
http://www.oscommerce.com

to get either of those working you only need a webhost (a company with a server that holds your website's files) that supports php and sql, most do, and to 'ftp' (upload) the files of the shopping cart onto your webhost.

from there you just visit one of the newly created pages to go through the install process for the shopping cart on your webhost, and once that's done you visit the admin page to setup your paypal details (other payment processors are supported) once - then you can use the admin page to add/delete/edit the items you're selling and you're literally fully in business.

i won't lie, you'll probably need help if you've never done anything with websites before and without shelling out cold hard cash for someone to re-develop the pages themselves the installed shopping cart system will literally just look 'out of the box' and won't have your unique stamp on it apart from maybe your logo.

if you genuinely want to do it, email me via my profile and early next week i'll point you in the direction of a decent and cheap webhost and also upload and install the shopping cart system for you if you like - just contact me.
