I get stressed and depressed cause I miss my family. I lost my day when I was eight and my brother and my mom in the same year 4 years ago. I really have no family to visit on Thanksgiving.

I love the holidays when I am home, or even at my families. But I hate holidays with my husbands family. No one watches their kids, and it drives me nuts.
Today was great, had my husband, our 5 kids, and my father here, then my sister and her husband and his daughter came by for about 2 hours.

yes holidays can be stressful on a person i think its all circustantial for example: your husband is in iraq and you have kids. its very hard to deal with family in that time because ure worried and always emotional or angry and they dont understand and then every1 gets hurt over lil things.in laws are so fun to deal with to during holidays try having a fight over who cooks what and how whew.

ya know I used to get stressed out about presents and such and then I said screw it and told everyone I thought Christmas was to commercialized and was not buying presents and that just being together was good enough. I do buy gifts for the children young enough to be excited about Santa. And ya know what everyone agreed ed with me and were just tickled pink about the whole thing.So I reduced the stress on me and my whole family..good luck

Some years are really stressful...Depends what is going on. Today was great, just hubby and I ....the only stressful thing is that his ex took their kids to his brothers house today...she turned him against my husband...I really hurt for him over that...other than that - we will have the kids here on Christmas morning and my MIL will be here, I am really looking forward to it this year.

Yes. I get tired of the same thing every year. What are you gonna bring? Can you pick so and so up? Can you fix my plate? Can you get me something to drink? Can you make us a to-go plate? It gets old.

this is how my so called family is..
lets say i had a billion dollars and i got everyone a brand new red corvette for christmas
they would complain its not the right color red
