When I give thumbs up or if thumbs up is done this means the answer is agreed on. The part you are thinking of is starring a question and that means the question was found interesting and either one person or several people will follow suit.

It either means, I like all the answers, or sometimes that no one bothered to.
It is your job to thumbs up all your answerer's. The rest of us only thumb up what we feel is worth it. Also the answer's get points for a thumbs up so don't forget to take tike time
