Average for the farmers I know is around 100. When I go to visit, we talk while working, instead of over coffee.

It varies widely with the type of farm and the time of year.
Grain farmers put in very long hours at seeding and harvest times. They put in shorter hours in the summer and even less during the winter.
Dairy farmers on the other hand work an average day and I might add, EVERY day all year round.
