I'm doing the University of California application and I'm not sure what I want to do later. Possibly pursue an MBA but then again I'm interested in actuarial science.
What would be a major that would lead the way to graduate studies with either career path? economics/ math??

UC-Berkeley and UCLA have two of the best economics departments in the world. The other UC schools are also excellent (especially UCSD and UC-Davis).

Economics with lots of math classes would be a great way to go.
