There's a deer curled up in the gully by my house. He's been there for about 6 hours, I think, and has barely moved.
Is he hurt or sick?
What can I do?
P.S. Seeing deer around my house is nothing new, but they've never stuck around for this long.

The deer has antlers, so I'm pretty sure he's a young buck.

Deer bed down for most of the day. Deer bed down more when it's hunting season. Here, it's hunting season.
If it's hurt there is really nothing you can do about it. Capturing a deer in order to help it is generally useless because the stress of being caught will kill an animal that is already unwell.
Do not go out to it as deer have been known to attack humans. They are big and strong and can hurt you a great deal.
If it's still there early tomorrow morning it may be dead and then you should call your local authorities to find out what to do with it.

There are a powerful quantity of situations whilst human beings hit deer and might't do a factor approximately it yet with the aid of my adventure contained in the rustic there are tell tale signs and warning signs to seek for whilst utilising down the line, first of all, maximum the time you would be waiting to be certain their eyes glow up or you will see a deer run for the period of contained in the area. the main factor to bear in strategies is that if there is one deer, there will be greater so beware and decelerate in the past you attain the section. That on my own will ward off a ton of injuries conversing from adventure. understanding the place they bypass is a powerful factor too. timber lines that open as much as fields and fields almost consistently. They stroll ridges and timber lines so as that's the place you will see an wonderful style of them. Deer are considered necessary for my and others resource of nutrition so delivery administration for those species is ridiculous and mindless for the 6 or much less years they stay alive.

I don't think there's anything you can do if it's sick or hurt. If you go near it and it runs away, you'll know it's not hurt but I would leave it alone if I was you. I get deer in my yard all the time but I never had one stay that long either.

Look in your phone book, and call the Wildlife Control People. They should answer any questions you have, and also they will take the proper procedures to see what you can do to help the deer.

Deer bed down during the day.
If it's still in the same place tomorrow and doesn't run when you approach it, it might be hurt.
