buy a 10-15 year old pickup, when you crash, you should be safe.

"i like mercedes, but my mom says it's more for grownups."
They are pretty nice cars and would do fine if you can afford to buy and run one.

"she thinks bmw's take up more gas."
Depends on which model, they have some real gas guzzlers (e.g. 760iL) but also some fuel efficient cars (e.g. much of the 1 and 3 series, especially with 4 cylinder engines).

"she said lexus, and sports cars are good."
Lexus tends to be reliable so if you can afford one probably not so bad.

Sports cars are a very bad idea for a first time driver, you do not want one (at least not if you have any sense). Anything that even seems remotely 'sporting' gets massive insurance rates for young drivers due to the amount of crashing that tends to happen to them.

"i want i big car though like range rover, bmw, mercedes, highlander..... any advice on which one"
Unless you actually need a big car which I very much doubt you do then you don't want to be looking for big cars. The Range Rover should not be considered if you don't need to do off-road driving (and if you do need off-road driving make sure to take a course on how to actually do it) because the compromises needed for good off-road capability aren't ones you will want to live with if you don't need it. You'd probably be better off just getting a small new car (and given what you're considering you'd probably have the money if it were in any way realistic).

To be able to give meaningful advise more information on what you actually need would be better, say how much can be paid, whether you can afford the extra maintenance costs of a prestige car (BMW, Mercedes and the like cost more to repair), how much you'll be carrying, etc.

Reliant Robin like Del boy! Any clapped out banger that wont m,matter if it gets damaged!

Statistics show that a young inexperienced driver is more likely to crash the car than an experienced driver. That is not me saying all young drivers are bad. BUT you as an experienced driver ARE more likely to have an accident.
Why have a brand new car when a cheap banger will be just as good. Think you are thinking of your image rather than what makes true sense mate.

hi Im sixteen too :D lol at this age its no longer good to get a fancy automobile ultimate subject is to purchase any automobile low-priced and it will maximum probable be crappy in comparison to new ones and get used to that and if u crash it or something you dont loose plenty and crash fees are severe for brand new drivers. get a mercedes or bmw once you're older and get a job and save up for it. suitable now merely get a competent automobile that gets u from element A to B. i choose to propose Toyota Corolla from 2005 or something. I observed one among those advertising for 9.5k yet once you go searching you will locate something greater fee-effective and because it must be below 10k if u cant locate it that much inexpensive then choose for a form from some years earlier. the clarification i recommend it is becuz its easy to maintain, much inexpensive in many techniques like maintanance, coverage and greater, very solid and somewhat gasoline useful. Lot of human beings could propose Honda civic, its good yet its greater costly to insure, maintenance greater costly, and greater costly than corolla and the resale fee is likewise under the corolla. So i could propose a corolla which could final u for some years and use that till u can locate the money for an costly automobile. desire this permits good good fortune

I have a Toyota Solara. For just learning all the rules of the road, you really need something that can handle accidentally going over curbs and stuff like that. Lol. The Solaras are a really cute car, and they come in a convertable model. I got mine a year ago, when I turned 16, and it's still doing great, but it's taken a beating with the curbs... I'm bad with curbs. Lol.

I don't know.....teenagers tend to have a lot of accidents: Are you responsible enough to handle the horsepower? Get a car with a 4-5 crash test rating.

The best car for a 16 yr.old is always a safe car. The best car that I would give my 16 year old would have to be a Honda. Anywhere from 1999 and up, its cheap, safe, good on gas, and good for first time drivers. Thanks.

If you are going to get something go get yourself a little honda or something, you should earn a mercedes.
