How high is the ceiling, and how did you manage to do that?
you could place a pan underneath the spots so that when it does fall, it won't take forever to clean the floor.

How about you climb up on a ladder and clean it off the ceiling. That will only take about 5 minutes.

That stuff is like glue.... it will stay up forever. It's a good substitute for wallpaper glue. You better get the ladder out and scrape it off before it dries.
