You need to be verified and link a bank account to your paypal account.
When you say put money into paypal, is that because you want to maintain a balance?
If it is just that you want to figure out how to use Paypal to pay for things, then linking the bank account will do it. When you go to pay for something, the money simply goes from your account to the other person's account. You don't need to have money "in" paypal.
Hope that helps.

My paypal is directly linked to my bank account. I put in the info on add account. I think this is usually how it's done, when you make a purchase it comes out of your bank account as a paypal transaction.
I had money in my paypal account when I was selling pins on Ebay. The next time I purchased something the money came off the top of the account and the rest came from my bank account. Otherwise if you want to cash our your paypal you have to request a check which can take a week or so.

You provide your banking info from the bank account you will be using to PayPal. Then PP verifies it - then you select "transfer funds", after you enter the amount you want transferred into your PayPal account from your bank account, it takes 4 business to be in your PayPal account - ready to spend!

at the top of the screen are various tabs. (my account, send money, request money, etc..)
click "my account"
under that there are sub tabs. (overview, add funds, etc..) (just go straight to "add funds" if you already linked a bank account - otherwise, keep reading)
hold the mouse over "profile" and a window materializes, and the link to "add or edit bank account" is what you want. in there, at the right middle screen is a button that says "add" - just follow the instructions from here
-----------
keep in mind, you don't need to have money in your paypal account to make a[n online] purchase, it will automatically pull from your bank account. if you do decide to put money into your paypal account, it can take 3-4 business days.

I don't like paypal. I feel it is dangerous because i don't see them and i don't know what the heck they do afterwards to my account. Paypal is a company that some businesses set up an account where these businesses have their customers to set up account with them so that they will pay online. Ask your merchandiser how to pay on line - they will lead you to this website. Good luck.
