Don't anyone complain. My wife and I had to get her mother (my beloved mother-in-law who remembers for a maximum of 10 seconds) and my mother (my wife's beloved mother-in-law who is only 77 but acts like a decrepit 110 tear old) from the retirement home and drive an hour in the car to meet my daughter and her family at a mutually located Cracker Barrel for dinner..
Then the return trip.. If I heard it once, I heard it a 1000 times: "Aren't you driving a little fast (I was going 65), do you see that car up there with its brakes on (a mile away) , it's too cool in here (I was sweating), Why is this place so crowded? (duh), I think that turkey gave me gas (well poot then!), then driving too fast again, then following too close, do we have enough gas, AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
I love them dearly. but I am very thankful the day is over, and I am laying on the bed, watching football with my laptop on my belly, and enjoying a Baileys and coffee!
Happy Thanksgiving to all, and to all a good night!

Hey Rebekah,
I'm glad to hear you had a great holiday, and it sounds as though, down home values. Mine was good also- I spent the early afternoon with my son and his family- good friends, good food and obviously a truly positive reason to see what we should be thankful for.
A little after supper we when to my brother's house where we saw the other half of our family plus my niece and her husband plus their daughter who all grown up since the last time I saw her. did we have a "Happy Thanksgiving" ?
yes and it did not all center around food- p.s. well maybe a little- don't tell-

Great so far. I had 3 wonderful children with me for the last 3 days, don't ask why, but it was great. We had turkey and stuffing, and they went to spend the rest of the day with their mom, and I'm going to eat with friends later. Not bad at all.

My thanksgiving was very solemn and low key because our mother died in October, but in her memory we made all the foods, pies, and cakes. Remembering all the good and bad she went through with us. A few laughs were made, many tears flowed, but in the end we realized she is now pain free.

So bored. And the whole family dinner (minus my dad since hes on a business trip),was weird. I just was there like having a salad and herbal tea and like corn. . .
I dont really enjoy thanksgiving though it is a significant holiday.

Not bad -we're going to a friends house for dinner since we live far from family- but I think everything will be fine.
