Mcdonalds doesnt sell their grease but yes you can use straight veg oil after its been filtered. You need to convert the fuel system with a heater to keep the fuel from gelling when it gets cold out. Some kits use a small diesel tank to run the engine to warm then switch over. The original diesel engine ran on peanut oil.
Bio diesel burns just like diesel with no modifications, but is made from soy.

Some Diesel engines won't work well on biodiesel though others will run just fine.
You'll need to do a bit of processing of the vegetable oil to actually make biodiesel anyway and there is also the tax issue which could get you into a bit of trouble (a lot of people in Wales got done for tax evasion for using biodiesel) especially if biodiesel becomes popular enough that not paying the fuel taxes hurts revenue so to do it nice and legally you'll be filling out extra paperwork to pay the fuel taxes.
With the need to fill out paperwork to pay taxes and the need to actually make the fuel yourself you would probably find yourself just buying diesel at the service station instead.

You can run your diesel on bio diesel. It is made from cooking oil. (like that from McDonald's) You can use new or used. If using used you will need to filter it. You can make bio diesel in your garage. It is not that hard. You need a couple of tanks, some Polly tubing, some PVC pipe, some valves and fittings and a recirculating pump. You will need some ethanol and some lye. You can find the instructions on the web. Although you can run straight bio in you car, it is best to run a mix of 50/50. Because bio diesel is cleaner and has ethanol mixed in it will clean your fuel tanks of old deposits. You will go threw 3 or 4 fuel filters when you first start using it. Good luck.

A gas engine isn't engineered to burn any gas heavier than gas. common diesel gas is in many circumstances kerosine, that's heavier than gas. although, the unique diesel engine ran on peanut oil, and could settle for any gas which does no longer clog the gas injectors. the biggest area of the conversion kit is an electric powered heater which liquifies vegetable oil to enable it to holiday interior the direction of the gas line. Diesels do no longer start up easily in very chilly climate, or maybe kerosine will turn gelatinous if the temperature is below freezing. French fry cooking "oil" is a "trans fats" substance that's good at room temperature. this might might desire to be warmed to a minimum of a hundred tiers previously it relatively is going to pass easily via a gas line to the engine. another engine layout that can burn kerosine is a jet turbine. although, jet engines are actually not useful on vehicles (different than in keeping with threat for superheroes).

The best thing to use is furnace heating oil which is cheaper and can go directly into the tank No1 is prefer ed. The colour is not the same and is not legal.Big rigs are routinly checked and if caught pay a hefty fine so same goes for smaller diesels

Nope not unless its been converted over to bio diesel and even then the grease has to be treated to be used as fuel

lol you'll eventually ruin the engine.. useing kerosene or some kind of flamable grease is only for emergency ocassions. such as being stuck in a rain forest or something where theres no fill up stations.
