i pretty much as a virus on my computer. probably from porn site thatpopedup when i was searching something completely different- ugh. so now i have the Kaspersky internet security thing but i don't think it's helping. Do i have to do Reboot my computer?
will it work for Sure?

Yes, Kaspersky should help prevent virus and trojan infection. After the initial installation of the software you should reboot. No 1 anti-virus product will protect Windows 100%. To be free of all Microsoft viruses, simply upgrade to Linux.

Does Kaspersky report the virus name? If so, google it, or go to www.symantec.com and search on the name.

kaspersky is very good , but just to be safe get the free adaware
www.lavasoft.com for spyware protection.

If you get another pop up you can download other anticipate programs to clean your drive. Reformatting is a last resort so don't give up yet.

do you mean reinstall, yes if you have the windows disk to do it. if not maybe recovery disk would help, some makers have a restore on another partion, that might help.
