PCOS is a grouping on many symptoms. You do not need to have all the symptoms to be diagnosed with PCOS.

Hi yeah I have PCOS (diagnosed 2002) and my cysts are no longer there but it has many factors.. PCOS is a syndrome not just the cysts... so if they have taken blood and carried out the other tests that they do for PCOS just read up on it more and learn how to cope with it :)

You don't have to have the actual string of pearl like cysts to have PCOS. It depends on the bloodwork and what its results show. I would recommend getting another opinion and preferably from someone who does not share the same office of the doctor you currently use.
