It's important to study, so you can get good grades. And even further into the future, with those grades you can get into a good college, then get a good job. So I guess studying pays off in the long run.

So you can grow up successfully of course :). Also, it's nice to have a some-what intelligent conversation with someone without asking them to define ever second word.
If you don't study, you can't pass school, can't pass high school, can't get into college/university, you wont be able to get a job (a good job that is) and no man will want you.
therefore you will grow up to be a bum.
You don't want that to happen, right? So party hardy but study harder. hahaha, that was lame, I know.

Well, if you normally don't do good on tests and whatnot then studying will help you be more prepared to do your best on the test. If you study, you can also relieve test anxiety by knowing you've done your best to be ready for it.
If you do good on tests without studying, then it is completely pointless.
