I suspect it is either a staphylococcal or a fungal infection. It is not possible to tell the difference without sending a swab to the lab. If you don't wish to get your GP to do this, try washing out gently 3 times a day. Then dry scrupulously and again gently, a tissue is the best. Finally apply a little Canestan cream. ( Anti-fungal creams do kill bacteria, but anti-bacterial creams don't kill fungus).

Clean it daily with a cotton bud. As long as it is not red or discharging then it's fine. Probably just sweat and grime. Just clean it daily.

I would NEVER put talcum powder on it as that will clog it up and may cause soreness.

It does sound like you have an infection.
I would suggest cleaning out throughly (cotton buds may help) and try some anti-septic. And bathe a few times over the next couple of days.
If you see no improvement then visit your doctor.

If it is smelly or has any discharge then yes, get it seen by a doctor.

Probably is an infection, but nothing to worry about.

Sorted in no time!

Get some athletes foot powder and when you have showered make sure it is dry and then sprinkle some in. It will soon be fine.

you have to get alcohol wipes like the ones people or nurses use for injections and every night before you go to bed rinse your bellly button out.. they trap smells and sweat but you can get rid of it by doing this for a while... good luck
