So far three people have said that you can cry underwater... however it doesn't make much sense to me.I recently learned in depth about aquatic therapy (physical therapy in water) and one of the main points brought up was that humans are unable to sweat. We lose heat through conduction and convenction.I would think that the lacrimal glands/tear ducts would not be allowed to release anything due to hydrostatic pressure...

I remember this one time I was crying when I was in a swimming pool. I didn't want my friends to see me bawling so I ducked my head under water in hopes to hide it. Though I felt myself crying, I didn't feel the tears coming out. It just mixed with the surrounding solution in the pool.

I think you definitely could, but you just won't see your tears because well, you're underwater. I imagine if you are really sad or upset about something and just decided to take a swim in a pool or take a bath (for some odd reason) that you can most definitely cry underwater.

i could, but i wouldn't be able to salk under water because the water would choke me. If you don't want anyone to notice then cry under water i guess.

Never ever tried it! But I've heard someone scream down there ~ when she found she was being followed ~ by fish (swimming close besides either side of her head).
